What are the requirements to participate in Company?

Each company member is required to take specific technique classes as well as attend rehearsals.  Please see the requirements below:

• 12 and under: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Stretch and Tone, Company Rehearsal, 1 summer intensive, and Company Choreography Camp.
• 13 and Up: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Stretch and Tone, Leaps and Turns, Company Rehearsal, 1 summer intensive, and Company Choreography Camp.

Each dancer is also expected to participate in 3 dance competitions and 1 dance convention which are scheduled throughout the school year.

What if my dancer is interested in performing more, but doesn't want the extra commitment that Company requires?

We often open community opportunities for dancers thorughout the year at a few community events.  Keep an eye out this summer & throughout the school year to sign up for these extra performance opportunities!

When is Company Choreography Camp?

Company Camp is always the first 2 weeks (Monday - Friday) in August. 

What is the cost associated with participating in Company?

Participating in Company, does also come with a financial commitment. After auditions are finalized, dancers will be guaranteed 3 groups (production with the entire Performance Company + 2 other group dances) to participate and compete in. These group dances are created at the choreographer’s discretion and with the dancers' overall ability in mind. All group dances have associated fees: each group dance has an $87 choreography fee plus $82 costume fee. Also, if a dancer will miss a competition, there is a $40 per dance re-blocking fee for each affected dance.

What if I want to participate but can't make the audition?

Please call or email the studio if you are unable to make the audition day and we will work on scheduling a makeup audition with you.

My dancer is interested in participating in a solo/duo/trio- is that possible?

Dancers in year 2 can participate in duos or trios and dancers in year 3 ages 11 and up may participate in a solo, duo or trio.  Please note that these extras will also come at an additional cost for choreography and costumes.
